POSitive Retail Manager 5.2.1b Candidate Release 3 is now available in the Download section.

This is an interim Beta release of POSitive Retail Manager. If you install this version and have any problems, you can reinstall PRM 5.2.0 Gold release.

This should not be considered a stable release!

We are doing extensive testing on a new feature called "Sections". This affects INVOICE STYLE transaction screens. If you are using INVOICE STYLE you should only use this build in a test environment. This is expecially true if using Service Orders. Service Orders will now support multiple service items per service order, but this feature is still undergoing testing and there are bugs. Do not use in a live environment!

Do NOT install this build if using Multi-Site!

You need to follow a specific sequence if using multi-site, as we have added several new tables. Your replication will need to be adjusted. Contact us for more information.

This release fixes several issues and adds several new features, including:

12/22/07 Release

• Touch screen would lose page zero buttons when holding an order
• Improved Section handler when adding Service Orders
• Sections now handle subtotals correctly
• Batch-deleting inventory was not working (nothing would be deleted)
• HTML e-mail was not filling in bill to, ship to when emailing quotes

• E-Mailing an invoice from customer history using HTML mail was not filling in bill-to properly
• Touch Screen editor was not saving settings for "Choose From Category"
• Changing the screen size of the Order List would not refresh the Order List
• Adding notes would cause problems in Invoice Style transaction screens (result of new Sections feature)
• HTML mail was not displaying all notes properly

• HTML E-Mail was not including the customer e-mail address when e-mailing from Invoice History
• HTML E-Mail would not include notes properly
• Adding a new Recurring Invoice would not save
• Adding a "Choose From Category" button in the Touch Screen editor would sometimes overwrite other buttons
• Adding pictures to Category or Departments now works properly

A new feature, Transaction Sections, has been added to PRM. This allows you to "break up" a long transactions, such as a Quote or Order, into several Sections which are accessed via Tabs. This feature is present in the Invoice Style transaction screen. The feature will be expanded to allow multiple Serial numbered items on a single Service Order, all accessible via tabs on the Service Order screen. A video will soon be posted demonstrating this exciting new feature!
